What's the Best Brand of Wheel Spacers?

Hey all,

I’m looking for some insights into the best brands of wheel spacers currently available. I’ve done a bit of research, but I think hearing from actual users will give me a better perspective.

Why Wheel Spacers?

I’m considering wheel spacers to enhance both the performance and aesthetic appeal of my vehicle. I understand that they can improve handling by widening the track width, but I’m also cautious about safety and quality.

What to Look For:

Here’s what I’m particularly interested in:

  • Quality and Durability: Which brands have proven to be reliable?
  • Safety Concerns: Are there brands to avoid? Any specific safety issues people have encountered?
  • Price-Performance Balance: I’m looking for options that don’t break the bank but still offer good performance.
  • Vehicle Specifics: I drive a [insert your vehicle model]. Are there brands that work better for certain makes or models?

My Current Pool:

I’ve come across a few brands like [Brand A], [Brand B], and [Brand C]. If anyone has experience with these or any others, please share your thoughts!

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to seeing what brands stand out in the community.

Cheers!

I’ve tried several brands of wheel spacers, and I have to say, Eibach really stood out for me. They improved my car’s handling significantly, especially in corners. Highly recommend!

Honestly, with the right wheel spacers, ride comfort can be affected, but I think Eibach balances it well. I felt a bit stiffer, but much more responsive in turns!

That’s high praise! How much did they improve your cornering? I need something to keep my car stable during aggressive driving.

Great question! I’ve heard mixed reviews about Motegi—some love them, others say they might not fit well on all models. Research is key here!

Absolutely! I want to find the best fit. Does anyone have comparisons between Motegi and Eibach?

Comparing the two, Eibach is generally more trusted for performance and handling. Motegi may look cooler, but Eibach outperforms in practice.

That’s good to know! I’m all for performance over looks. What about fitting issues? Anyone faced hurdles when installing?

I’ve installed Eibach spacers and their fit was seamless! No issues at all, unlike some other brands I’ve dealt with.

Awesome! Fitting is half the battle. Any recommendations on sizes for a Honda Civic?

For a Civic, I’d recommend no more than 20mm for balance. Anything larger could affect the steering feel.

That’s interesting! I’ve always thought bigger was better. Still, I guess balance is crucial. Thanks for the tip!

If you’re going for size, be sure to check your wheel clearance too. Can save you some headaches, trust me!

Just a thought—would it be more beneficial to get coilovers instead? I’m torn between the two and could use some advice.

Good point! Coilovers might provide better overall handling, but spacers are a cheaper option for immediate improvement.

I’ve tried several brands, but I keep coming back to H&R spacers. They’ve been reliable for over two years, even in harsh conditions. Great quality!

I totally agree! H&R has a solid reputation. I’ve also had great luck with Eibach spacers; they’ve lasted well through my off-roading adventures.

Quality is key for wheel spacers. I’ve experimented with a few different ones, including Spidertrax, and they held up fine for about a year. But they’re heavier than others.

I’ve always stuck with his elemental Sentra1839 spacers. They are affordable and pretty durable. They’ve survived through rain and snow without any noticeable wear.

Wow, Sentra1839? I hadn’t heard of those before! How long have you been using them and what kind of driving do you do? I’m curious about their performance under stress.
