Pilot Sport AS 4 Tires: Looking for Real Reviews!

Seeking Insights on the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4

What I’m Curious About:

  • Performance: How do they handle in various conditions? Rain, dry roads, and maybe some light snow?
  • Durability: How do they hold up over time? Any issues with tread wear?
  • Comfort: Are they smooth on the highway? Any noise that affects the driving experience?
  • Overall Quality: Would you recommend them for daily driving or more spirited use?

My Context:

I drive a [Your Car Model Here] and am looking for something that enhances performance but is also reliable for everyday use. I’ve heard good things about Michelin, but I want to get more feedback.

I’ve had the Pilot Sport AS 4 tires for about six months now. In dry conditions, they grip well and offer excellent stability. However, I noticed that their wet traction is also impressive, maintaining control through rain without skidding.

I totally agree! I drove through a heavy downpour last week, and these tires performed beautifully. No hydroplaning at all!

Yes, I’ve had mine for a bit over a year. I found that while they perform great in wet conditions, they wear a bit faster than I’d like on rough roads. Still, the stability is top-notch!

Interesting point. I thought the durability was fine on mine. Has anyone else noticed unusual wear rates?

I’ve put over 10,000 miles on mine, and they’re holding up well. I think proper inflation and regular rotations really help with wear. But overall, the grip in both wet and dry is fantastic!

I’ve experienced similar results! The handling is quite sharp on these tires. They really give you confidence both on twisty roads and during quick maneuvers in wet conditions.

I haven’t seen any issues either, but it’s good to know what others are experiencing. Anyone tried these tires in snow?

They are not snow tires, but I did use mine in light snow, and they performed decently. Just don’t expect miracle traction in a blizzard! But for chilly wet mornings, they’re good.

Exactly! These are meant for all-season driving, but as zmurphy said, they’re not meant for heavy snow. Still, they do quite well for most situations.

True! But I did take mine out last winter in some slush, and it felt secure. Just drive with caution!

I can definitely vouch for their stability too. Even in wet conditions, I’ve never felt like they were going to let me down. They inspire a lot of confidence!

I have to say, my driving experience has improved significantly since I installed these tires. They respond so well at high speeds!

Right? I breezed through a curvy mountain road last month, and it felt like I was gliding! Can’t believe I used to drive on those cheap tires.

I think we can all agree on their performance. It might be fun to see how they hold up over longer trips. Anyone done a road trip on these?

I did a 1,500-mile trip last summer. No issues at all, even with varying weather. They exceeded my expectations overall!

I’ve had the Pilot Sport AS 4 for about 20,000 miles, and the tread wear is impressive! I usually drive aggressively, and they’ve held up surprisingly well with about 4/32 remaining.

Awesome! How about road noise? I’ve heard mixed reviews about that.

I’ve found them really reliable in the rain. The grip is excellent, and hydroplaning hasn’t been a problem for me at all!

Actually, I find them pretty quiet compared to other performance tires I’ve had. Definitely not as bad as some reviews say!
