Looking for Touchless Car Wash Options in Portland

I’m looking for some recommendations for touchless car washes in Portland. With all the dust and grime around, especially with the weather changes, I want to make sure my car stays clean without the risk of scratches that can come with traditional washes.

Here are a few things I’m hoping to find:

Recommendations

  • Are there specific places that are known for their touchless systems?
  • Do you have any favorites that you regularly visit?
  • Any local chains or perhaps smaller independent operations worth checking out?

User Experiences

  • How was your experience at these locations?
  • Any tips on what to expect in terms of service and results?
  • Were the prices reasonable for touchless washes?

Location Convenience

  • Which areas in Portland have the best options?
  • Are there any touchless car washes that offer additional services, like detailing or waxing?

If you have any insights or tips, I would love to hear them! Thank you in advance!

I’ve been to Touchless Car Wash on NE Sandy Blvd. They do a great job and are very efficient! The cleanliness of my car after the wash was impressive.

I completely agree! I’ve also experienced their fast service. Do you think it’s worth the extra cost compared to traditional washes?

I recently tried Eco Touch Car Wash. They focus on eco-friendly products, and my car looked shiny and spotless afterward! Highly recommend!

That sounds awesome! It’s great to find a place that cares about the environment. How was the waiting time?

I visited Rainbow Touchless Car Wash on SW Barbur Blvd. They have a fun theme, but honestly, the wash wasn’t as effective. I expected better for the price.

That’s disappointing! Which specific services did you try there? I’m curious about any recommendations.

I went for their basic wash, but I think I needed to upgrade for better results. Have you tried any other places that you liked?

My go-to is Clean Car Wash on SE Hawthorne. They have strong pressure jets, and my car always comes out looking brand new! Just a little slow during busy hours.

Good point! I guess it’s a trade-off for a great wash. Have you guys ever tried detailing services too?

I’ve been using touchless car washes for a year now in Portland, and I’ve got to say the convenience is great! They’re quick and my car always looks fresh afterward.

That’s interesting, but have you ever worried about paint scratches? I’ve heard mixed reviews on how gentle they really are.

I worry about that too, @ofields. Traditional car washes can damage the paint but I’ve read that touchless washes might not get dirt and grime off as well. It’s a trade-off for sure.

True, but I think a touchless wash is gentler on the car. Plus, they tend to use less water overall, which is a win for the environment!

That’s a valid point! However, I wonder if all that soap and chemicals used in touchless washes are actually better for the environment or even safe for our paint.

Great question, @kelly31! I think it really depends on the brand of touchless wash. Some are more eco-friendly than others.

I’ve had friends who swear by touchless washes, but I still prefer the human touch. Nothing beats a thorough cleaning by hand! Fun fact, my dog loves to hop in the car after a good wash.

Haha, I get that! Dogs are the best car buddies! But seriously, keep in mind that touchless washes save time, and that can be a big deal.

LOL @thompsonann, true! But I’m really torn here. Are we sacrificing quality for speed? Someone needs to start an experiment comparing both methods!

An experiment sounds fun! I think both have their own merits. Maybe we should each try both and share findings?
