How Many Annual Miles Do You Drive Your BMW M4?

I’m curious about the annual mileage BMW M4 owners are putting on their cars. Specifically, I’m looking for insights on:

  • Daily driving: How many miles do you drive on average in a year?
  • Maintenance: Does high mileage significantly impact your maintenance routines?
  • Fuel efficiency: How does your driving style affect your fuel consumption over a year?
  • Leasing/financing: For those who lease, how does mileage affect your payments or residual values?

I love the BMW M4 for its performance, but I’m trying to gauge the practicality of using it as a daily driver. Any thoughts or personal experiences would be super helpful! Looking forward to hearing from fellow M4 enthusiasts!

I’ve had my M4 for about a year now and I drive roughly 10,000 miles annually. I notice the fuel efficiency can be hit or miss depending on how I drive. It’s crucial to budget for fuel costs!

Great point, eholmes! I typically do more highway miles, which helps my M4’s fuel efficiency. I get an average of 25 MPG on the highway, but it drops in the city.

Have you considered the difference in fuel costs between highway and city driving? It really impacts my budget too!

I only drive about 5,000 miles a year since I use my M4 mostly for weekend fun. The fuel costs aren’t too bad since I fill up less frequently, but I do miss fuel efficiency ratings.

Weekend driving is totally the way to enjoy an M4! But I imagine that affects your annual fuel budget quite a bit.

I drive about 12,000 miles a year, mostly highway, so that keeps my fuel costs manageable. How much do you think fuel prices will fluctuate next year?

With my yearly driving at 15,000 miles, I’m budgeting around $3,600 for fuel, given current prices. Has anyone else had a shock at the pump recently?

Yikes, hillshannon! My fuel budget is much lower, around $2,500 since I drive more conservatively. Have you tried any methods to improve fuel efficiency?

I actually tend to drive in Sport mode all the time, which really dents the fuel budget. But it’s so much fun!

That’s a tough balance! But isn’t the M4 worth splurging a bit on fuel for the thrill it brings?

I completely agree, ydowns! But driving in Comfort mode can feel so dull. At 8,000 miles a year, I try to balance driving enjoyment and fuel efficiency.

Sure, milleranthony, but I’m sure my wallet begs to differ every fill-up! I drive about 14,000 miles and it’s definitely a mixed bag of costs.

I feel that! Anyone tracking their miles more strictly to help budget fuel better?

I’ve started using an app to track my fuel, and it’s a game changer! It helps me spot inefficiencies in my driving before it gets too costly.

That’s really smart! I normally just guess but tracking could really help manage costs.

I wish I had thought of tracking earlier! Reflecting on my M4 journey, I realize better budgeting could lead to more enjoyable drives with less worry.

I drive about 12,000 miles a year. I find that regular maintenance like oil changes is crucial at this mileage to keep my M4 running smoothly.

That’s not too bad! I hover around 15,000 miles annually. I’ve noticed some wear on the brakes around the 20,000-mile mark. Has anyone else experienced that?

I usually drive around 18,000 miles. Interestingly, my friend who drives less often had more issues with his M4. I think constant use helps keep the components lubricated and functioning well.
