Best Exhaust Upgrades for My 2013 BMW 328i?

I’m looking to upgrade my exhaust system on my 2013 BMW 328i and could really use some advice. My main goals are to improve the exhaust sound and maybe get a bit of a performance boost. I’ve seen a few aftermarket options out there, but I want to know which ones really make a difference.

What to Consider

  1. Sound: I’m after a deeper, more aggressive tone. What systems have you tried that provide a nice growl without being overly loud?
  2. Performance: Are there any exhaust systems that actually boost performance? I’m not looking for a full racing setup, just something that enhances my daily driving experience.
  3. Quality and Durability: I want to invest in something that will last. What brands do you trust?
  4. Installation: I’m considering whether to DIY or have it installed at a shop. Any tips on what’s involved?
  5. Pricing: What should I expect to pay for a decent exhaust system?

Suggested Systems

  • If you’ve had a good experience with a specific brand or system, please share!
  • Pictures and sound clips would be super helpful, too.

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

For the 2013 BMW 328i, I highly recommend the AWE Tuning exhaust. It offers a perfect balance between aggressive sound and daily drivability. Plus, noticeable performance enhancement!

I’ve heard great things about AWE! Has anyone tried the Eisenmann exhaust? I’m curious about its performance and sound levels.

Eisenmann is fantastic! It gives a deep growl that’s very satisfying, especially during acceleration. Just keep in mind it’s a bit louder than stock, which might not suit everyone’s taste.

Thanks for the info! How do you think the Eisenmann compares to something like the Borla? I’ve considered both.

Innotech can be great for people who want adjustable sound levels. It’s quite versatile, and you can really customize your driving experience.

I think the adjustable feature is nice, but I’ve seen complaints about fitment issues with Innotech. Anyone else experienced that?

Yeah, I had some alignment issues. But once sorted, the sound is incredible! Just check before final installation.

Haha, right? It’s part of the fun of tuning, and at the end, it’s about personal preference. Reflecting on your driving style can really guide your choice.

Installing a new exhaust system can really enhance your 328i’s performance. You’ll need basic tools like a socket set, wrenches, and a jack. Make sure to have a friend help you; it’s much easier with two people!

Absolutely! Don’t forget to wear safety glasses and gloves. Also, take your time to align everything properly to avoid leaks. Have you chosen a specific exhaust brand yet?

Great tip! I’ve heard that rust can really complicate things, so I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Did you run into any specific challenges during your install?

I’m excited for you to upgrade! Is this your first time installing an exhaust? Just take it slow and feel free to reach out if you hit any snags. You got this!

Just remember: it’s all part of the learning experience! If something goes wrong, take a break, grab a snack, and rethink your approach. Or just breathe and think of the awesome sound after the installation!

Haha, I definitely like the snack idea! On a serious note, how long should I expect the entire installation process to take?

I recently upgraded to a Remus exhaust and the sound is incredible! It’s deeper and more aggressive than stock. Highly recommend it! Anyone else have experience with it?

That’s awesome! I’ve heard good things about Remus but I’m curious—how is it under normal driving versus full throttle?

I have a Borla ATAK exhaust on my 328i, and let me tell you, the sound is intoxicating! It really wakes the car up without being obnoxiously loud. Would love to share sound clips if anyone’s interested!

Sounds intriguing! Any chance you could share a sound clip? I’m on the fence about going aftermarket.

I tried the stock exhaust for a while, and though it’s smooth, I definitely miss the character of aftermarket options. The deep growl really enhances the driving experience!
